Welcome to the iHTs website, the International School for Advanced Theatre Studies.

In Aubenton, in the north of France, the iHTs has a beautiful house with sleeping accommodations for 4 to 20 people. There is also a large and small studio, a dining room, a bar, a garden etc. They can all be used as different means for dramatic ends.

The house has been renovated, using secondhand material (anything from gifts to what could be found on the street), and made into a simple and peaceful working place with a very pleasant atmosphere. In the past few years many students have worked hard to help rebuild the house and they have, in their way, left their mark on the building.

The iHTs foundation offers refresher courses and specialization in the basic elements of acting and dancing through intensive training and the following of workshops. You will be working with well known and lesser known methods such as Tjechov, Grotowski, Stanislawski, Hauer, Alexander, Bausch, Limon, Ceelen, van Houten: “Earth, Water, Fire, Air”, “Innovative Movement and Dance Techniques”, “Observing, Interpreting and Importance”, “Impulse and Fantasy” and “Creating Theatre”.
Also, Robert Ceelen is a director for the final stages of drama, movement theatre, music and cabaret productions.

The training sessions, workshops and final direction projects last one to three weeks and take place in Aubenton < aubenton.html >, or anywhere else in the world on invitation.
